HISTORY
In the summer of 2007, John Field owner of Summers at the River Sports Complex agreed to give us a chance at starting the three-headed monster known as the Summer Sizzle.

The first year had about 7 BBQ teams, and a handful of kickballers, but money was raised and we knew we had a great fundraiser underway.

2008 and 2009 saw tremendous growth and the addition of
KCBS sanctioning...the crowds
grew and before we knew it our
event was legitimate.

2010 marked our first year at a new location. We'd like to thank John Field and the crew at Summers at the River...you'll always be part of our family. Thanks for believing in us.

The Summer Sizzle Charity BBQ event is a major summer bash.

BBQ, Beer & Bands. FREE BBQ sampling and even a swimming pool to cool you off.

This year's main stage is inside the air conditioned Oasis Convention Center
